Today, I’m excited to share with you my comprehensive plan to prioritize pedestrian safety, enhance traffic enforcement, and restore transparency and accountability within our Parsippany Police Department (PPD). I’m also thrilled to announce the launch of my official campaign website, where you can find detailed information on my platform, policies, and vision for Parsippany.

Pedestrian Safety and Traffic Enforcement
As a resident of Parsippany, you know how critical pedestrian safety is to our community. Over the past year, we’ve tragically lost three pedestrians, which is unacceptable, and we must take immediate action to prevent further tragedies.
I am committed to expanding our PPD traffic division and ensuring officers consistently enforce traffic violations, particularly in sensitive areas. A quarterly update on the number of summonses issued and the nature of violations will be made publicly available.
Key proposals include:
- Year-round enforcement of violations such as failure to yield to pedestrians, seatbelt violations, and “hands-free” violations.
- Reconstituting and strengthening the Traffic Advisory Committee, with members appointed based on expertise and willingness to serve.
- Collaborating with the Morris County Road Department and the NJ Department of Transportation to implement corrective actions.
Partnering with the State for Safer Roads
Multiple fatal accidents involving pedestrians on Rt. 46 highlight the urgent need for safer roads. Under my administration, we will partner with the state to conduct a comprehensive study to identify ways to enhance lighting, enforce lower speed limits, and construct pedestrian bridges where necessary. Additionally, I will address the dangerous design of the ramp leading from northbound Rt. 202 to Rt. 80 eastbound and advocate for immediate action from the state DOT.
Improving Communication and Transparency
Active communication between our public safety departments and residents is essential. I will restore the practice of sharing general crime information on social media channels and generate quarterly overview documents for the PPD website. The newly reconstituted Traffic Advisory Committee will also submit monthly reports to the Mayor and Council for publication on the Township website.
Ending Political Interference in the Police Department
The business of our police department must be conducted with minimal interference from Town Hall. I promise to ensure that only the most qualified applicants are hired as officers and that promotions are based solely on merit. I will meet regularly with the Chief of the Parsippany Police Department to discuss expectations and accountability, while allowing the PPD to conduct business independently.
Addressing Vehicle Theft and Residential Break-Ins
We have seen a significant increase in vehicle thefts and residential break-ins in Parsippany. My multi-faceted approach includes forming a coalition of regional mayors to impact statewide policy and pressing for the passage of new laws that stiffen penalties for using juveniles to commit vehicle theft.
Thank you for your continued support. Let’s work together to create positive change in our community.
